Task

To develop a comprehensive package of proposals to enhance interpretation and improve visitor facilities at this remarkable 19th century industrial landscape in Wales. We worked in association with Touchstone Heritage Management Consultants.

Process

We consulted organisations, the community and visitors to sites to gather information, and assess people’s perceptions and understanding of the area and its facilities.

Benefits

  • The consultation process revealed varied views about current resources and desires for the future.
  • The three documents – Visitor Experience Plan, Interpretation Plan and Action Plan – formed the basis of funding bids for implementation.
  • The client has a costed programme of work for immediate implementation.
