Task
Preparation of a curriculum linked learning resource to enable teachers at KS2&3 to understand the mound – all that remains of the once powerful Bedford Castle.
Process
In order to deliver the most comprehensive message the resource was created as a CD. This enabled us to deliver not only text based information but images (maps, diagrams, aerial photos) and audio files containing reminiscences and personal anecdotes of local people, historians and archaeologists with their stories of its history and use over the centuries.

A CD is a far more flexible classroom tool.

Images can be projected direct from a laptop onto an interactive board; activity sheets can be printed from a PC and audio files provide added value to any pre-visit preparatory work.
