Our commitment to sustainable development and the better management of natural and heritage resources guides our involvement in a range of strategic services.

We prepare strategies and feasibility studies, carry out management reviews and develop environmental policy. We consult widely with stakeholders to gather information, seek consensus and encourage ownership. Our work focuses on practical action, providing clear programmes for future activity.

Our clients include Natural England and individual Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, local authorities and related partnership projects and voluntary organisations, together with government agencies, ministries and other clients across Europe.

Our work includes:

  • Guidance on management issues, and capacity building, for UK and Eastern European protected areas including AONB’s and National Parks
  • Management plans, and management plan reviews, for AONBs and other landscape areas
  • Governance reviews for AONBs and research contracts on AONB funding, management models and socio-economic evaluation
  • Stakeholder and community consultation for project planning and development
  • Strategies, plans and feasibility studies for countryside and environmental projects
