Task

To provide technical support to the AONB Officer for the review of the AONB Management Plan. 

Process

We conducted a consultation exercise with Partnership members, other organisations and representatives of the community to identify potential amendments to the existing management plan and seek consensus on new activities for the period 2010 to 2014.  We then supported the AONB Officer in preparing draft text for the revised plan.

Benefits

  • The revised management plan had high stakeholder involvement with good consensus on the new programme of management activities
  • The management plan was published in February 2010
