Process
The Igneada area of North West Turkey is a wetland forest of international importance, and proposed as a protected area. This contract was to develop a communications strategy as a component of a broader management plan. We ran workshops with key partners and the community and developed a programme of communications activities that would integrate with, and enhance, the objectives of the management plan.
Benefits
- The Forestry Department have a comprehensive management plan that includes a detailed programme of communications and community outreach activities
- Communication is now a central part of the work of the management authority in managing the protected area
